Every small-town kid knows the scene before they ever see the movie: standing at the edge of the yard at dusk, staring at the horizon like it's a door somebody locked. In the film there are two suns, and a French horn line that does something unfair to your chest, and a farm kid who wants so badly to matter somewhere else that the whole desert seems to ache with him. One sun or two, the feeling's identical. I watched it on VHS, wore out the rewind, then went outside and practiced my own horizon-staring. Some of us got out. All of us still stop for sunsets.
Printed on the Bella + Canvas 3001, soft, lightweight airlume cotton with a retail unisex fit.
